JONES - George Canrobert on
Sepiember 13, 1993, age 64, alter a
courageous battle with cancer. Born in
Sardis, B.C. With his family around him,
he slipped into heaven peacefully, Lav.
ingly missed by his mother Cledia; wife
Leta; son Don (Angela), daughter Patti
(Dan) Morrison, son Dennis (Sally),
daughter Wendy (Jim) Brown; 9 grand:
chileren who called him Papa; many
other relatives, associates and friends
who will miss him, George was welt
knawn in the Real Estate industry since
1952 until his death. He organized golf
tournaments but never played, par-
ticipated in the skits and sang at the
Christmas party. Betonged to the Con-
naught Toastmasters Club. He entertain-
ed the troops during the war years as
Vancouver's Boy Soprano travelling
acress the U.S.A. Then it was on te
U.B.C. and operettas fike Tom Jones. He
lormed his own band drumming and
singing. Qrgarized minstrel shows on
Vancouver Island for the Lions Club. On
April 25, 1970 George became a
member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He
was known as “kissing George” and no
one escaped his wonderful hugs. He iov-
ed his Lord Jesus, his family, A.A. and
Alanon and especially those less fortu-
fate than himself. George carried the
A.A. message af sobsiety and had a love
for Al-enon. George loved and knew his
Lord Jesus, enjcyed his choir directing,
and singing at funerals, weddings and
gatherings. Papa as he was called by his
family loved him dearly, A memorial
celebration will be held on Monday,
September 20 at 5 p.m. at the North
Shore Alliatice Church, 201 East 23rd
St., North Vancouver with Pastor Brian
Buhler officiating. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to the North
Shore Alliance Church Music Depart-
ment or the Harbour Lights Mission, 119
East Cordova Street, Vancouver, B.C. V6A
1K8. Squamish Funeral Chapel in care
of arrangements.

ROBSON - R.C. (Chris) P.Eng., recently
of Braemar Road, Noth Vancouver died
peacefully at the age of 89 years on
September 4, 1993 at Evergreen House,
North Vancouver. He is survived by his
beloved wife Beatrice; his sons Michael
and “Peter and spouses; daughter
Margot; 2 grandchildren Christopher and
Martin; sister trene (Turry) Laundy of
Victoria and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service and informal tea will
be held at St. Martin's Church, 195 East
Windsor Road, North Vancouver at 3pm,
September 28th. In -lieu of flowers,
donations to Evergreen House, Lions
Gate Hospital, North Vancouver would
be appreciated.
