Falcioni unfair in criticisn

Dear Editor:

It is interesting to note Ron
Falcioni’s: own failed attempt at
running a ‘‘serions’’ art gallery
makes him an expert in all areas
of art galleries and art. ‘

He seems somewhat- confused
‘that if a gallery sells art or objects
d’art in a commercial venue that
they are somewhat less than
credible or are lacking in artistic
integrity,

_ Does this mean that artists who
paint or create pieces that people
_ buy are any fess serious in their

‘attempts than those who create
only for the sake of creating?

It is also most unfair for Mr.
Falcioni to critique a show that he
did not see. When he finally came
othe gallery, which was: in

mid-December and not of his own
initiative but because of a nagging
letter I> wrote to the editor, he
walked into a room that I was
‘ rearranging and setting up.

At no time did he say he had
come to review the show that was
over Nov. 30, or indicate his true
feelings of hisslack of respect for
me. :

Skame, shame, Mr. Falcioni.
Words like ‘ack of intellectual
integrity”. are not taken lightly by
this person and next time we meet
} hope vou can defend yourself
when not hiding behind your pen.

As to representing and . building
up a gallery. that promotes and
tries to garner commissions for
portrait artists, 1 feel once again
you missed the mark.

For one, you don’t seem to be
able to count, because at present |
am representing nine portrait ar-
tists, but then you didn’t ask and
1 didn't realize that you needed
this information.

You also seem to be under the
impression that it is wrong some-
how to be doing this. Instead of
encouraging this endeavor . you
again seem to want to discourage.

} hope that in your teaching to
young impressionable artists, you
do-not take this same cavalier,
negative attitude,

member too. ! pay taxes lo sup-
port the plan and 1 have the right
to know whe is abandoning it.

I have the right to select medi-
cal professionals who will not bill
me separately for their services.

‘Make no: mistake: I. do. not
blame the medical profession sole-
ly for the state that plan negotia-
tions have reached. | assume that
both sides have some responsidili-
ty in this.

But at least name names
allow. me some choice in the mat-
ter. ‘
