Hillside, unbeaten in the regular season, defeated Carson Graham 59-32 in the first North Shore playoff game, with Gill Saxby get- ting 15 points, Vivian McAdam 10, and Lisa Wild 12. Michele Bortolin had 9 points for Carson Graham. Handsworth edged Sen- tinel 61-60 in the other first round game. Sheila Jones scored 24 for Handsworth and Mary Shaughnessy had 17. Patti Hill was the star for Sentinel in the overtime con- test, getting 34 of the Spar- tans’ 60 points, while Cathy Schick added 14. Both squads won the right in the regional tournament held last week- end where Argyle beat Windsor 8-2 in the boys final and Windsor B girls beat Argyle girls 12-2.
