BEER AND WINE will not
be available in West Van-
couver grocery stores if the
Police Board and Alderman
Diana Hutchinson have their
way.

A notice of motion to op-
pose the possibility of
province-wide availability of
these drinks al the grocery
store level was introduced by
Hotchinson at Monday's
West Vancovucr council
mecting.

The new regulations are

end of this month.

Alderman Don Lanskail
asked that adcquate public
notice of the proposed mo-
tion be given and that the
merchants particularly be in
formed so that all sides can
be heard.

a washed out affair, ac-
cording to the North
Vancouver RCMP, but that’s
in keeping with a recent
trend to quieter Halloweens.

“It was a very quiet
