Only five B.C. school districts
are involved ina project which will
teach students to design systems
and networks for their school and
then implement and maintain them
to industry standards.

Boosters of the Knowledge
Architecture Project hope the pro-

gram will give students a leg up for
rompetilive “new economy” * jobs.

Ministry of Education,” stated John

West Vancouver School District, in

The program, now being deliv.
ered to classrooms, is shifting the
roles of students and teachers so
that everyone fearns together. —
challenging the old model of eda-
cation in whieh the teacher is the
expert, the release said.

demonstrate their work and discuss
their unique view oof the
Knowledge Architecture Project at
a conference March 300 at the
University of British Columbia
Asian Centre.
