WV foundation names directors The West Vancouver Foundation recently announced the appoint- ment of James S. Cameron as chairman. Cameron is a former director of the Vancouver Foundation. He succeeds Keith Duncan who will temain as a director. The following directors were also confirmed: Mark Sager; Robert C. Bentall; Helen A. Boultbee; Richard Baker: Keith Duncan; Moh Faris; Margaret Forsyth; James H. Green; J. Russell Kinninmont; Kay Meek; Frank A. Robertson; Garth Rowsome. The West Vancouver Founda- tion is a_ non-political, non- ideological independent charitable organization. Dr. Terry Amiet: Meeting the medical needs of Pender Harbour and area Terry Amiel collected jobs — about 80 of them. He worked in Europe and the South Pacific as a steel cutter, a shipping clerk, fruit packer, raiiway switchman, deckband, welder and even a page boy at medieval banquets. None of the jobs lasted long. “| learned that if you want to have a successful future, you have to get some form of education,” says Terry. A summer of chemistry upgrading at Capilano College turned him on to the sciences. After wo more years at the college in academic studies, he witended medical school. Now Terry is the only doctor within 25 miles of his home in Pender Harbour, “The Capilano College atmosphere was conducive te wanting to learn.
