‘The Under Secretary of State for’ Canada has proclaimed
. _ Fire Prevention Week from Sunday, October 9th, 1988...
to Saturday, October 15th, 1988; and

the City of North Vancouver and the Districts of North
Vancouver and~West Vancouver are desirous of. .
supporting the. principle of fire prevention; and

we are pleased to recommend to our citizens that they
take appropriate measures all throughout the years to
inspect their homes and business premises, with a view
to removing therefrom any fire hazard and thus help to
reduce the serious loss-of life and property which takes
place annually across our nation;

NOW THEREFORE, We, John E. Loucks, Mayor of the City of North
Vancouver; Marilyn Baker, Mayor of the District of North
Vancouver; and Don Lanskail, Mayor of the District of
West Vancouver;. do- hereby - proclaim the week of
October 9th, 1988 to October 15th, 1988 to be FIRE
PREVENTION WEEK, and further that Saturday,
’ October 16, 1988, be ‘designated as “Fire Safety Fair
Day?
