Connell takes #2 tennis spot NORTH VANCOUVER tennis ace Grant Connell battled to the finals in the $75,000 US Bergen Open indoor tennis tournament in Bergen, Norway, Sunday but a double fault gave the victory 10 Patrick Kuhnen of West Germany 6-4, 3-6, 7-6. The match, which took one hour and 50 minutes, was not decided until midway through the tie- breaker for the third set, when Connell, 21, double-faulted. Connell had 10 aces in the finals match, including two in the tie- breaker. In playing three qualifying rounds, the North Vancouver ace dropped just one set to make it to the main tournament.
