graduate

from
UVic

OF THE record 1,700 students
who graduate this spring from the
University of Victoria, many were
from B.C. communities outside
Victoria, including several from
the North Vancouver area.

UVic president, Dr. Howard
Petch, says, ‘‘We are committed to
doing all we can to ensure students
from smaller centres and com-
munities are given the opportunity
to attend university. 1 am pieased
at the number of men and women
from outside Victoria who are now
attending and araduating from the
many excellent programs offered
at the University of Victoria.”

Among those UVic graduates
who received degrees on May 29
and 30 were North Vancouver res-
idents. These include:

Master of Public Administration
— Vanessa Morgan.

Bachelor of Arts — Mojan
Bagha; Robyn Swanson.

Bachelor of Education — Jennie
Cole; Cynthia Elliott.

Bachelor of Music --- Allison
Cameron.

Bachelor of Science —- Jeffrey

North Shore Neighbourhood
House Summer Day Camp pro-
gram for kids aged six to 12.

There are four two-week long
sessions available beginning June
29 and running to August 21.

The camping experience includes
swimming, crafts, out-trips, games
and cook-outs. The camp is based
in Cates Park and a bus will pick
up and return participating
children each day to North Shore
Neighbourhood House.
