THE FOURTH anouat Vancouver Beer Festival
promises to be a headier event than ever When it takes
place Nov. 6 and 7 at this year’s new venue, the
hralian Centre at 3075 Slocan St.

As always, the festival features beers from around
the world. Some are old favurites, some not so ald,
and ouers ure new products hardly yet available in
your local store.

Suds drinkers are becoming more knowledgeable
and hence more demanding in their quest for the
quintessential quench.

Add to this results of recent tests that show beer can
be good for your health as well. as your taste buds and
it's easy to see just why the hoppy brew enjoys ever-
increasing popularity.

This year’s festival also sees expanded pi uticipation
on the home brew front, with special activities of in-
terest fo all home-brewers, scheduled to take plaice
Naw. @. Entry forms for the home brew competition
are available at Cheers! stores and other brewing
supply retitilers throughout the Lower Mainland.

Aside from the sudsy tastes and hoppy smells,
there’s lots to see and hear with ongoing. live enter-
tainment from Vancouver's performing arts com-
munity, juggling, bands, talks On beer, and mime with
a difference.

It all adds up to a strong brew, with a good taste
and plenty of color.

Tickets are $15 plus handling, and are on sate at all
VTC/CBO outlets.
