FIRE at 1222 West 15th Street Sunday evening was directly
opposite Norgate fire station but unbeknown to fire depart-
ment as no traces of it were visible from the outside in its
crucial stages. By the time a passer-by spotted smoke, when
the blaze rekindled itself, occupant Patricia McGuirn, aged
62, had already died, as had her black labrador. The fire
started in the chesterfield and ts being blamed on smoking
