Repeated complaints from
residents spurred North
Vancouver District Council
Monday into agreeing “to
apply an asphalt layer along
Hoskins Road from Ross
Road to Arborlynn Drive at
a cost of $80,000.

The purpose of this costly
“carpet” is to deaden
vibrations said to be caused
by Hydro buses on this
route, which residents,
headed by Alec Besky of
2862 Hoskins, say are strong
enough .. shake their
homes.

The cost was approved by
council for 1980 as a local
improvement initiative
project. This means that
residents along the route will
be assessed, per capita, for
