N. Van man hit by bus

A 56-year-old North
Vancouver man was hit by
a B.C. Transit bus on
Thursday night in the 800-
block of Granville Street in
Vancouver.

York Brooks was in critical
condition in Vancouver
Hospital and not expected to

A Vancouver City Police
spokesman said Brooks was
crossing the street as the bus
was pulling away from a stop
when the man was hit.

Brocks suffered serious
head injuries as a result of the
10:30 p.m. incident.
