BURRARD Roofing
Inc. has lust the roof
over its business follow-
ing a decision by North
Vancouver District
Council.

An unusual show-cause
hearing on Aug. 11 resulted in
council’s voting unanimously
to revoke the business licence
of the long-time roofing con-
tractor.

Burrard has operated for
almost three years out of a pri-
vate residence at 2548 Boswell
Ave. in the Blueridge area of
North Vancouver.

Neighbors say they have
endured three years of
increased traffic from deliver-
ies and workers, as well as the
noise of sheet metal work from
the garage on the property.

The Municipal Act gives
council the authority to
“revoke a business licence for
reasonable cause after giving
notice to the licensee and after
