Drug charge

A 32-YEAR-OLD restaurant patron was arrested on
Aug. 26 after a police officer noticed a plastic bag
allegedsy containing cocaine hanging out of his pocket.

The arrest occurred after a North Vancouver ROMP
constable conducted a check of the restaurant, located in
the Lower Lonsdale area. Police were responding ta a
report that patrons were drinking after hours. The con-
stable checked the patrons at about 5 aan.

The man with the bag was searched by the police con-
stable who allegedly found several decks of cocaine and a
film canister filled with cocaine, according to a North
Vancouver RCMP spokesman.

Ronald Wallace Baker, of North Vancouver, is
charged with possessing cocaine for trafficking purposes
and possessing stolen property.
