If we don’t do our par. in taking care of our environment, there soon won't be one? In 1984, the total expenditure for pollution control was $68.539 billion. New in 1991, the pollution control has multiplied by 10 times that arnount. Why don’t more people recycle or buy ozone- friendly producis? Why doesn’t the government ban non-ozone- friendly products? Why are we spending more money on pollu- tion whea we could all work together and save some of the ex- penses? Pollution is harming our ner- vous and respiratory systems. [t also irritates our cyes, causes damage to our lungs, causes headaches, and reduces our vision. Our o7one layer is deteriorating and we are suffering from it by getting cancer and other diseases. Not only are we suffering, but plants and animals are too. Somehow, some day, someone has got to get the point across about pollution. 1 hope this un- derstanding will come soon because some people may never have a chance to see hew beautiful this world could be.
