Councils cancelled

COUNCIL MEETINGS for West
Vancouver and North Vancouver
have been cancelled this Monday
because of the statutory holiday.

The sext meetings will be held
~ July 10 at the regular times. Look

in the July 9 issue of the News for
council agendas.

As of July 10 North Vancouver
City and District Councils will be
operating on a summer schedule,
meeting every second Monday for
July and August.

recently at a chamber luncheon for
her many contributions to the suc-
cess of the chamber and _ local
businesses.

Pitt-Brooke, who has been with
the chamber for the past 22 years,
11 of which have been as manager,
offictally retired at the end of
June.

As to Pitt-Brooke’s contribution
to the chamber, new chamber
president Debbie Trinacty said
“she has been the chamber. She
has been the one that’s held it
together. I don’t think there has
been anyone who hasn’t worked
with her over the years. She has
been wonderful.”
