The civic election is) on
Saturday, November 17,
with advance polls be-

torehand. | firmly believe it
is at that time---and af no
other---that the ciuzens of
West Vancouver make their
choices .

| have served all the peo-
ple with their various needs
and services during my term
ot office ] attend all
meetings tor candidates to
be heard and questioned
But, as in all previous elec-
tions, | have not sought the
endorsation of any one small
group in particular and | do
not intend to do so between
now and polling day

It as most warmly rewar-
ding to receive support and
encouragement throughout
the Municipality to serve for
one more term. | can only
suppose this 1s a reflection of
the achrevements of the

Municipal Council over the
last few years.

Among other things, these
include stabilizing the den-
sites and style of future
developments above the Up-
per Levels; very considerable
improvements in street
drainage and road surfacing
as far as budgets will allow;
planning the future of the
Ambleside-by-the-Sea park
project; and = Starting the
revitalization of the
Ambleside commercial area.

In addinon, we now have
a new police court, tirehall,
health department offices,
works yard, Seniors’ Centre,
Eagle Harbour Recreation
Centre and new and improv-
ed sports fields. In general,
we are continuing to upgrade
Municipal services and plant
within an acceptable budget

and level of taxation. | am
proud that, with all these
works and improvements,
