OPTIONS FOR VOLUNTEERS THE FOLLOWING is a sample of many volunteer opportunities available through North Shore Community Services (NSCS). THE Harmony Arts Festival requires people for a variety of positions including a tour guide fluent in Farsi, French or Chinese to conduct tours of local artwork. On site people are needed for crowd control and to set up displays. A person with good organizational skills is also needed to assist the public relations committee with posters and publicity. Volunteers will be re- quired to work from Monday, Aug. §2 to Sunday, Aug. 18 und the hours are Menxible. Training and orientation will be provided. AN ENPERIENCED typist is needed at a new organization that works with the blind. The hours are from 3-5 p.m. two days per week, A MATURE counsellor is needed to supervise people remanded by the courts to do community service. The volunteer will offer personal support and act as a role model. A LIBRARIAN with cataloging experience and good English skills is wanted for a smal! resource library. The position will involve maintaining the library, cataloguing new resources and typing. The hours are flexible. A VOLUNTEER is needed to remove old displays from the walls and arrange and hang new art work every third Thursday. This is an ideal opportunity for people wanting to meet artists.
