Former principal honored

The cafeteria-gymnasium
building in the 200 block
East 23rd Street in North
Vancouver has been named
after M.McDougall, the
principal of long standing at
the North Vancouver
Secondary School.

A unanimous decision to
accept the name was made
by North Vancouver City

council Monday night, after
the name was suggested by
Alderman Gary Payne.

The gym building was
formerly part of North
Vancouver Secondary
School before the school
closed and the building was
purchased by the City for use
by the Recreation Com-
mission.
