TWO small pet dogs
were stabbed on
Dec. 20 during a
burglary in a home
in the 200-biack of
West Balmoral in the
Upper Lonsdale
area.

One of the Lhasa
Apsos later died at a veteri-
nary clinic.

The other dog is
expected to survive, said a
North Vancouver RCMP
spokesman.

Police believe that a
burglar struggled with the
animals in the kitchen of
the home.

A knife was recovered
by police investigators.

An undisclosed amount
of money was taken from
the home between 10 a.m.
and 1] p.m. Police said
there was no sign of forced
entry into the residence.

The burglar is believed

to have left the home in a
southeast direction to
Lonsdale Avenue.

one with information to
call the North Vancouver
RCMP’s burglary section
at 985-1311. Tipsters may
remain anonymous.
