Since local lines may be congested in an emergency. BC Tel suggests the following: « establish an out-of-province con- tact who could be catled by con- cerned family and friends. The contact could act as a message clearing centre reducing the vol- ume of calls in the disaster area. * look in the front pages of your telephone directory. go lo your local library or contact your focal municipal office of the Provincial Emergency Program for more information on disaster planning.
