Liberal Party in the North Vancouver-Lonsdale riding. A former B.C. deputy environment minister, Dalon said he was motivated to enter politics because of “an obvious lack of NDP leadership,” fiscal responsibility and integrity. “The result of almost four years of NDP misman- agement has resuited in British Columbians receiving the rather dubious distinction of being the highest taxed citizens in North America,” he stated in a Jan. 25 press release. “It's time for a new government, a thoughtful, fis- cally responsible government to lead and prepare British Columbians for the 21st century,” he added. Currently, Dale is president of MRC of the North Shore Ltd., a company providing magnetic resonance imaging to patients. Dalon has a masters degree in philosophy from the University of Alberta and served as CEO of the Legal Services Society of B.C., assistant deputy minister in the Alberta Advanced Education Ministry and as the federal government's Indian and Northern Affairs education branch's director general.
