Punches thrown in Lonsdale fight | A traffic dispute erupted into an episode of road rage in the Lower Lonsdale area on Wednesday afternoon. A 33-year-old = North Vancouver man was driving east on Esplanade when another man, driving a Honda, did a U-turn in front of him and honked. According to an RCMP spokesman, the 24-year-old Honda driver got out of his car and went to the victim's window, where he grabbed the man by the shirr and shouted, “I’m = gonna_ kill you!” He then invited the man to step outside the car and engage in a fist fight. The victim was punched twice: once in the face and once in the jaw, as he strug- gled to get away from his attacker. The suspect was appre- hended and has been charged with assault. He was released on a promise to appear in court in October, — Katharine Hamer Man arrested at suspension bridge Katharine Hamer Contributing Writer IXOLAI Ridgewell vis- ited Capilano Suspension Bridge in the early hours of Thursday morning, but he wasn’t there for the view. The 19-year-old man broke into the grounds of the Capilano Suspension Bridge at 2:22 a.m. North Vancouver RCMP were called to the scene when a burglar alarm went off. Ridgewell was charged with break and enter with intent and trespass by night. He was released follow- ing his arrest. Ridgewell is set to appear in court Sept.
