From previous page In December of 1989 my daughter and her two daughters, 5 and 7, were put out of their home by my daughter’s husband. Jane-Ellen, a very compas- sionate person, took my daughter and the children inside, found out the problem, and bought the girls warm clothes and food. She then drove them to Emily Murphy House (for women who are battered). Later, we brought them all home to us to live. In October of 1990 my daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer. . Jane-Ellen was a great comfort through these past months. ‘My wife and I feel this lady continues to be our unsung hero.- ~ It is very refreshing to know peo- ple still care about each other. My daughter has been gone over a year now and this young lady still gives our granddaughters her care and understanding.
