Two celebrity teams will be cooking up a storm in this year’s contest as they try to whip up the best creamy clam chowder the North Shore has ever seen. Newspaper columnist Denny Boyd, former B.C. Lions coach and general manager Annis Stukus, and former B.C. Lions nears players By Bailey, Sonny Homer, Jim Carphin and Don Vicie will be on the roster in a bid for the clam chowder championship. Teams will have one hour to cook up the best batch of chowder at the July 26 contest. Chefs, food experts and food industry profes- sionals will be judging the teams’ efforts for texture, taste and number of other culinary wants. A North Shore News team will be at this year’s Waterfront Park cookoff in an altempt 10 pull offa culinary coup and take the clam chowder contest title.
