Fall fashion fantasies

AS AUTUMN takes over where summer left off, the vibrant season opens up a whole new
portfolio of colors, textures, styles and fabrics for fall fashions. This year, styles are more
versatile than ever, with a ‘mens look’ in women’s suits and shirts. Skirts are longer, dresses
are sleek. For men, suits have strong, crisp lines in subtle patterns or plains. Shirts and ties
have new color combinations with just a splash of creamy yellow to dress up brown or a
spark of bright red for navy. This year, the News photographed the fall fashions at the new
ICBC building at the bottom of Lonsdale, since the innovative geometric lines of the struc-
ture provided an interesting and diverse background.
