Greek god oui of his

TAROT cards evoke a
Kind of archetypal see-
ing. A seeing which
weaves fine threads of
meaning and nuance
between ourselves and
the ancient myths and
legends of previous civi-
lizations.

Such is the case with the
Queen of Swords and her
archetype Pallas Athene.

Ancient Greek mech
recounts Zeus swallowing
whole Athene’s mother,
Metis, Goddess of Wisdom to
avoid an Olympian overthrow
by an upstart godling whom
prophecy portended Metis
would bear.

With Metis secure in his
belly giving wise council from
within, Zeus assumed himself
freed from this fatal prediction
when suddenly struck with 2
ferocious, pounding headache
and no aspirin in sight!
