Rex, a worker at North Vancouver's Lynnwood Marina, said someone working on a boathouse didn’t take precau- tions and “they had problems” during Sunday’s wind storm. “Evervthing here is quite OK,” he said Tuesday morning, adding that only one of the two damaged boathouses was. still “having a problem.” Sunday afternoon wind clocked in at up to 51 kilometres (32 miles) per hour at the auto- mated North Shore weather sta- tion near Cypress Bowl in West Vancouver. Wind also blew over a tree on the Stanley Park causeway, icad- ing to the closure of the Lions Gate Bridge. A West Vancouver woman said she waited 45 min- utes to inch along Georgia Street only to be told by police at the entrance to the causeway to turn around.
