A North Vancouver man was shot in the
back of the head in a gang-style shooting
on Saturday in Vancouver.

Mani Rezaci, 20, was listed in grave critical condition to press
time on Tuesday. He was in a coma and on life support.

Station Street.

THE wind kicked up
and two Lynnwood
Marina boathouses
came down Sunday.

Rex, a worker at North
Vancouver's Lynnwood Marina,
said someone working on a
boathouse didn’t take precau-
tions and “they had problems”
during Sunday’s wind storm.

“Evervthing here is quite
OK,” he said Tuesday morning,
adding that only one of the two
damaged boathouses was. still
“having a problem.”

Sunday afternoon wind
clocked in at up to 51 kilometres
(32 miles) per hour at the auto-
mated North Shore weather sta-
tion near Cypress Bowl in West
Vancouver.

Wind also blew over a tree on
the Stanley Park causeway, icad-
ing to the closure of the Lions
Gate Bridge. A West Vancouver
woman said she waited 45 min-
utes to inch along Georgia Street
only to be told by police at the
entrance to the causeway to turn
around.

men who were called for backup by an angry E5-vear-old boy at a
\ ley party. A 19-year-old man was assaulted.

The 15-year-old youth pleaded guilty to the aggravated assault
involving the maiming of Brent Swatridge, of North Vancou

The 15-year-old struck Swatridge in the face and head with a
solid metal bar at least three times “as if swinging a baseball bat.”

The 15-vear-old’s buddies carried a knife and two machetes,

Rezaci was not charged in the incident. The only adult charged
