A film crew and full com- plement of extras were there to shoot the family movie Big and Hairy. The film stars actor Richard Thomas, best known for his role as John-Boy in the long-running TV scries The Waltons, and Vancouver- based actors Donnelly Rhodes and Greg Thirloway. Former Grizzlies mascot Trevor Jones also makes a star turn as Ed, a preteen Sasquatch that’s an ace at basketball. The picture is a new nwist on the boy and his dog story, says the film’s.
