LeonofPs second study of the studio (da Enterprising Life: Leonard Frank Photographs, 1895-1944 was published by ‘Talon Books in 1990) is an exquisitely constructed art book conraining over 300 photographs taken by the late Vancouver photographer Ouo Landauer. The images document the development of Vancouver in the post-World War Two penod through the lens of a professional photographer. Some of the matenal is reminiscent of Margaret Bourke-White and achicugs _. a similar poctic effect. Several of the photographs were taken on the North Shore including a series on the construction of the Second Narrows Bridge in 1958. Other 1997 books honored by B.C.
