WV police issue tickets

A JULY 23 roadblock set up by
the West Vancouver Police at Mile
3 of the Squamish Highway re-
corded numerous motor vehicle
infractions.

The police checked about 90
vehicles between 8:30 a.m. and 11
a.m. Although no vehicles were
removed from the road, police
issued 19 traffic violation tickets,
12 notices and orders and {aid six

other charges.

A police moter vehicle check-
point was later set up at Lions
Gate Bridge and inspected about
40 vehicles.

Police issued 20 traffic violation
tickets, 13 notices and orders and
laid 10 other charges. Four vehi-
cles were removed from the road,
including a truck with substandard
brakes and bald tires, and a van
with deficient brakes.
