Escaped convict nabbed in WV WEST VANCOUVER Police got tucky and nabbed a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for an escape from a Calgary prison after arresting three people who were driving im a stolen vehicle Tuesday night. Arrested were 23-year-old Daniel Leo Dillon, Diane Elizabeth Andrews, 23, and 20-year-old James David Martin, all of no fixed address. Police were on to the suspects after a citizen in the area of the Park Royal Towers reported the occupants of a vehicle acting in a suspicious manner, ' | The vehicle had left the'scene by the time police arrived, but was later spotted near Taylor Way and Marine Drive. The police stopped the vehicle and determined it had been stolen in Vancouver the previous day. Further investigation revealed Martin as the escapee. : The three were heid in custody and appeired in West Vancouver provincial court Wednesday, charged jointly with theft and posses- sion of stolen property over $1,000. Martin faced an additional charge of theft under $1,000 for theft from a cas parked in the Park Royal Towers parking lot. Martin entered a guiliy plea on the charge of theft over $1,000 and was sentenced to six months in jail.
