Of the 246 that were recovered, 130 were left unclaimed and had to be sold. The administration costs incurred by the City in deal- ing with lost bicycles has pro- mpted the City of North Van- couver to support the concept of the service offered by the new Canadian Bike Banding Company. Based in Coquitlam, the regional company will make ils registration and recovery services available through bicycle retailers, schools and community centers.
