Little
League
tourney
underway

The District 5 Little
League baseball tournament
got underway yesterday in
Squamish with three North
Shore entries all scheduled
to play before returning to
North Van's Zuchlke Park
on Tuesday for action
beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Following the Saturday
and Sunday games in
Squamish, the tourney
returns to North Van with
the final games to be decided
July 25.

The cventual winner of
the district tournament will
advance to the B.C. Little
League finals in Duncan,
August |.

District administrator Cliff
Ray announced last week
that former Mt. Seymour
Litde League president Jim
Alden had been appointed as
Assistant Administrator.
