How does the conceptualized track facility affect the
existing park?
Mahon Park will remain basically unchanged. The track
would require the removal of one tree and some expansion
beyond the north end of the current gravel track (approx.
30m). The other grassed areas, water play area, Horseshoe
Club and parking would remain unchanged. In the track
infield, a grass soccer field will replace the existing baseball
diamond. An alternative site will be found for the baseball
diamond.

Who will pay for the new track?

If the referendum is passed, the City will pay the estimated $2
million to build this facility.
