12 -North Shore News - Wednesday, May 31. 2000 ————— BRIGHT LIGHTS=— West Van firefighters clean up for kids FOR the past: 22 vears, the West Vancouver firefighters have been raising menev for the Children’s Hospital Network Telethon. Counting this vear, close to $69,000 has been raised. Last Saturday, they were out there again with buckets, hoses and scrub brushes hosting their annual Car Wash for Kids tundraiser. Fhe event ieelf cd over $3500 which, when added to the monev already raised, will come to a total of $5,000. The boys will present the cheque to the hospital on live television on June 4, sometime berween 3-4 p.m., so tune in to the Children’s Network Telethon and give them your support.
