driver of a yellow Volkswagen
Beetle and our neighbor's car on
Saturday, Oct. 25 at 1:30 a.rn. on

The church committee and
members of St. John the
Evangelist Church want me to
write you and express their
sincerest appreciation for the ex-
cellent coverage and article con-
cerning our rebuilding project.

The loss of our historical church
has now turned into anticipation,
as we look forward to a new place
of worship. The North Shore
community has been most suppor-
tive, and your paper has helped a
great deal.

The Votkswagen belongs to my
daughter. Like many young peo-
ple, she works hard and is a college
student. She took pride in that car,
which was evident in its ap-
pearance and in one instant, for
whatever your reasons, you
destroyed it!

As a parent it is frustrating to
see this happen. | hope you slept
well that night, because we did

not. You have unduly inconve-
nienced her, caused her unneces-
sary expense and most important,
a lot of mental anguish.

People who witness these acci-
dents seldom come forward and
the drivers involved never volun-
tarily admit to these cowardly
deeds.

I realize this is an everyday oc-
curence but just once, | want to
