The program will also include music and entertain- ment. The event is being spon- sored by the North Vancouver District Baha'i Community in cooperation with the North Vancouver Schoo! District and the teachers’ association. According to Baha’i val- ues, society has a sacred duty to love children, protect them and “train them so that they may grow und develop and become stars of the heaven of understanding, lions roaring in the forests of knowiedge and wisdom, whales swimming in the oceans of life.” It’s not just the teachers in the public education system who are being honored on Thursday.
