B&E, drug charges

A STRREY man faces break and enter and drug-related
charges following a recent arrest made by the West Van-
couver Police. ;
According to a police spokesman, at 2:55 a.m. on
Saturday, March 6, officers responded to an alarm at a
’ 7-Eleven store located at 14th Street and Marine Drive.
When the police arrived, a man was observed feaving
the area. As the police approached him, the man ran off.
’ He was apprehended at 13th Street and Marine Drive.
The police recovered several cartons of cigarettes and
seized a quantity'of cocaine.
They also discovered that Wayne Bruce Decaire, 21,
was wanted on an outstanding warrant from Missioa.
He was taker iato custody and charged with break and
- enter, possession of stolen property under $1,000 and
possession of a narcotic,

Truck beached

A 32-YEAR-OLD Northwest Territories man found the
West, Vancouver wilderness uncooperative when he at-
tempied . ;t@ go four-wheel driving across Ambieside
Beach on Sunday, March 7.

-The West Vancouver Police arrived at the scene at
1:46 2m. to find the driver and his 1977 Ford pickup
truck stuck in Uhe sand.

For his efforts, the drive; received a tow and a 24
hour suspension for drinking and driving.
