The difference in premiums be-
tween certain uses or territories
may tempt some people into de-
liberately misrating their vehicles.
They may commute on a regular
basis but tell the Autoplan broker
they drive for pleasure only.
Owners of heavier commercial
vehicles may claim to operate
them in an area that has lower in-
surance premiums when they ac-
tually work in another territory
with higher costs.

Every insurance company sets
premiums according to the risk of
a loss. Those who: misrate a vehi-
cle in order to qualify for a lower
premium violate the terms of the
insurance policy. As any lawyer
can tell you, when that happens
the insurance company may con-

to someone who knowingly misin-
formed an Autopian broker when
purchasing insurance.
