Crew sizes vary from two or three to Sterckx alone; deadlines are set from per- sonal realities not a studio mogul's whim; consequently the success of each produc- tion is borne by the individ- ual film-maker with the same responsibility as is any failure. The film Sterckx brings to the Centennial Theatre took approximately two years to research and produce and cost nearly $100,000. Self- financed and presented on the Adventure Tour lecture circuit all over the world, Belgium Today was made with the peculiar insights Neal NS and special affections of a native Belgian for his homeland. Like Sterckx’s other documentary work, the film is designed to instruct pro- spective travellers in the realities and personalities of a country beyond the safety glass of the regulation tour bus.
