majority of theatre
patrons want to see
more comedies.

Something light and
frivolous to take the mind off
real life troubles. And for

playhouses, equally willing
to solve’ recessional
problems, a good comedy
can have them laughing all
the way to the bank.

Well, there’s no confusion
over genre when the title is
Romantic Comedy, and little
doubt of its success when the
writer is Bernard Slade and
the star is Jackson Davies.

The happy love triangle of

Comedy, Slade, and Jackson
brings to mind such Van-
couver hits as Same Time
Next Year and Tribute.

Davies is the same
character in a_ different
situation, delivering wicked
one-liners with deadpan
grace.

And there's
material to
