David Handlev is now vice-president of corporate services and Ellen Pekeles is vice-president of programs in the health region. Handley started on Sept. 20 and Pekeles started on Monday. Adan said the health region went through a public, national search to fill the two jobs. Adams said severance packages were still being work out for the former vice-presidents. “Yes there is a cost to the system for making chis change,” said Adams. He said that in 18 months, the costs will be absorbed because the health repion is paying two vice-president salaries instead of five.
