Rywer: The ceiling cracks are caused by warm, moist
air migrating through the plaster or gypsum board. To
repair, you must first vee out the crack using a wood chisel
approximately 1” wide, Hold the chisel at a 45 degree angle to
the ceiling. Draw it down the cracked surface. veeing out
approximately 1/4", Apply a coat of Weldbond Adhesive to the
veed-out crevice with a sponge paintbrush. Allow 1/2 hour
drying time. Now apply 2 lightweight spackling compound.
such as Dap Fast-N-Final, with a narrow putty knife. Let dry
overnight. To finish. apply Homax Stipple. Touch up with
Texture Fresh ceiling paint.
