New Cap College program deals
with specifics of condo living

IN 1976 there were approx:
imately 500 strata corpora-
lions containing approxi-
mately 34,000 con-
dominiums. By 1988, 8,300
strata corporations existed
in B.C., representing
210,000 condominiums. A
review of the homes section
of any newspaper shows
new condominiums are con-
tinually coming on-stream
so, clearly, condo living ap-
peals to many people.

To give the consumer a
greater understanding of liv-
ing in this community at-
mosphere, Capilano College

has developed a new pro-
gram of courses and
workshops for purchasers,
present condo awners,
managers, and even for
people who own or are
thinking of owning a condo
as revenue property.

For would-be purchasers,
‘Buying a Condominium”
will provide all the informa-
tion essential to deciding if
condo living is suitable, plus
the know-how to successful-
ly conelude a condominium
purchase. This workshop is
on Saturday, Sept. 28 from
9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs

$105, including Junch.

For present owners and
potential purchasers, the
course ‘‘Cando Living’
looks at the psychology of
sharing, privacy, and the
governance of the con-
dominium group through
the strata corporation law.
Starting on Oct. 8, it runs
from 7 to 10 p.m. for eight
weeks and costs $195.
