Watershed Wigglers (ages 4 to 5), Branch Bunch (ages 6 to 7), Forest Foragers (ages 8 to 9) and Timber Cruisers (ages 10 to 13) are intended to develop an awareness and appreciation of natural resources — water, wildlife, fish and forests. The Seymour Demonstration Forest was opened in 1987, and offers clean water, wildlife, forest produc- tion, fisheries, recreation and educational oppor- tunities. STUDENTS FROM the Early Childhood Education program at North Shore Continuing Education celebrated their graduation June 23. The ceremony marked the end of a two-year course of part-time evening study. The program en- courages students to work or vol- unteer in early childhood facilities while studying and is designed to be flexible to coordinate with the demands of students’ employment wherever, possible. Some students take the program while raising young families. The Eagle Harbour Community Centre is offering fitness classes for all fevels. The Total Workout classes provide a 30-minute cardio exercise and body toning. Use handweights, tubing and rubber bands for a 75-minute workout. An instructor will provide exercise alternatives — so you can set your own pace. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:45 p.m. to 8 p.m. for seven weeks beginning now. A co-ed fitness class for all levels will also be offered. A high energy workout with exercise alternatives will challenge most fitness levels. Tubing and hand weights are used for added challenge and variety. Set your own pace.
