WV jewel thief gets 8% years A 23-YEAR-OLD man was sentenced Friday in Vancouver county court to 842 years in jail after he was convicted of robbery on the strength of expert evidence from a podiatrist in connection with the theft of an estimated $200,000 in gold and jewels from a West Vancouver home. Raymond Spark was convicted on charges arising from a March 29 incident in which two masked thieves, armed with a shotgun, terrorized the family of a West Vancouver fish buyer. The main clue taken from the crime scene was an imprint of a Nike running shoe sole, picced together from broken window pane fragments. Plaster cast imprints were also taken froin Spark’s feet and Dr. Norman Gunn noted 10 comparison points in the (wo sets of prints.
