"STEVE KLASSEN Sue Willesen swam five years competitively with the West Van- couver Otters and she also coached the West Vancouver Secondary School swim team. She currently carries cards for Bronze Medallion, Bronze Cross, and National Lifeguard. After a rewarding swimming ca- reer, she finished with B.C. Sum- mer Games in 1985, winning a bronze medal in 400-metre indi- vidual medley and silver medal for 100-metre butterfly. Willesen is currently in second- year sciences and plans on pursu- ing a degree in rehabilitation med- icine. The Cruisers new male coach, Steve Klassen, is currently enrolled in SFU, majoring in history. SUE WILLESEN He began competing in summer swimming in 1978 with the North Vancouver Cruisers. Klassen has been in four provin- cial championships. ‘‘My greatest achievement was being part of the relay that won a gold and bronze in 1984,” he said. Street hockey offered | CALLING ALL street hockey players. The Karen Magnussen Arena is offering street hockey programs this summer. Registrants will play on the fa- cility’s lower parking lot and there are program sections for all age groups from four years old to adult. Participants must bring their own sticks, but referees and nets will be supplied. Under Little League rules, pitchers are only allowed to pitch six innings, in which time McCrae had struck out 16 of 18 batters by the sixth inning’s end.
