Sweet Adelines from North
Vancouver is getting ready
for the annual Competition
which will be held Saturday,
April 17 at the Queen
Elizabeth Theatre.

Each spring, quartets and
choruses from all over the
region gather for a frantic

to name regional champions
who go on to compete at the
International level in Oc-
tober.

Judging is based on four
categories, sound, ex-
pression, music and
showmanship. Our songs
must be “true” barbershop —
no religious or patriotic

It seems like a lot of work
for a total of about ten
minutes on stage, but it is
also Fun! You get to meet
other Sweet Adelines and
Sing, Sing, Sing.... in the
halls, lobbies, elevators, in
your room or someone
else's. By Sunday you will be
